Watford manager Marco Silva says he sympathises with Southampton after Abdoulaye Doucoure’s controversial equaliser denied the Saints a much needed victory.
Andre Gray hauled the hosts back into contention before the Frenchman earned the Hornets a point seemingly using his arm to divert the ball over the line.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the final whistle, Silva said: “I understand Southampton, I understand their manager, they are unhappy like I was more than one time in games when mistakes are against us.
“Everybody has seen the goal, I don’t need to talk about the goal. Something can happen, and this season we’ve had other moments when the decisions are against us, but that is football.”
