Age UK Dacorum’s annual Christmas concert will be slightly different this year, combining traditional elements with a modern twist.
Taking place at St Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 6, the festive fundraising concert will be led by the Rector of St Peter’s Church.
The event will showcase traditional carols, festive music performed and sung by the Castle Choir, and popular Christmas chart-toppers.
The service will include extracts from the Bible alongside modern yuletide messages.
Readers include comedian and writer Robin Ince, food and drink broadcaster Nigel Barden, rugby commentator Miles Harrison, and many more.
Charlie Hussey, community engagement manager at Age UK Hertfordshire, says the event will be non-denominational and secular.
He said: “The event is designed to fundraise for as well as raise awareness of Age UK. The concert will stand out compared to your average carol concert and will combine tradition with inclusivity for all.”
Tickets cost £8 and can be bought from tickets.mp/ageukcarols
