SHOW YOU CARE: Northwood care home calls on community to spread some Christmas cheer

Published on: 30th November 2020   |   By: Tim Green   |   Category: Uncategorized

A care home in Northwood is calling on the community to send messages of goodwill to its residents this Christmas.

Staff at Erskine Hall Bupa Care Home will place the cards round the home for everyone to read and enjoy.

Russell Sharp, manager, said receiving Christmas cards can make a big difference to residents.

He explained: “It’s a very special feeling to open a card and to know that someone cares about you and wants to wish you well at this time of the year.

“For many, Christmas is a time of joy, celebration and family, but for some it can be a lonely and emotional time, reflecting on loved ones who have passed.

“For those who are unable to see their families or who don’t have any relatives, it can be a difficult time.

“If we can get enough cards so that each resident has the joy of opening something during the festive season, that would be really special.”

Anyone wishing to send residents at Erskine Hall Bupa Care Home a Christmas card can post one to: Erskine Hall Bupa Care Home, Watford Road, Northwood, Middlesex, HA6 3PA.
