TRAIN TRAP: Person hospitalised after reports of casualty on the tracks in Stanmore

A person has been hospitalised with injuries not thought to be life-threatening after it was reported that a person was trapped under a train on Sunday, February 2.

Police, paramedics and fire officers were called to the scene at around 3.21pm, which led to there being no service on the Northern line on between Golders Green and Edgware after the incident.

The British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Burnt Oak Underground Station at 3.21pm yesterday (February 2) to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics and fire service also attended and a person was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

In a statement, London Fire Brigade added: “We were called at 3.22pm yesterday (February 2) to a report of a person trapped underneath a train at Burnt Oak Underground Station.

“Firefighters attended and released the casualty before leaving them in the care of the London Ambulance Service. Two fire engines from Mill Hill and Hendon Fire Station and a fire rescue unit from Wembley Fire Station attended the scene.”
