‘SHOW SUPPORT’: Croxley tattoo shop raises awareness of mental health and suicide

Published on: 14th May 2025   |   By: Nik Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

A Croxley tattoo shop helped to raise awareness of suicide prevention by offering semicolon tattoos.

On April 4 and 5, Taylor-Made Tattoos on Watford Road offered semicolon tattoos from £20. The symbol is used as a metaphor for mental health and suicide, as it represents when an author could have ended their sentence, but chose not to.

Posting on Instagram, the tattoo shop said: “Suicide is a leading cause of death and affects people of all ages. We want everyone to know that we as a business and as people care about this greatly. Suicide does not end the chances of life getting worse, it eliminates the chance of life ever getting better. You too can show your support and help spread awareness with your own semicolon tattoo.”
