Buckinghamshire Council is supporting plans to make changes to electoral wards in the county.
The proposals were put forward by the Boundary Commission for England and would see the number of county councillors reduced from 147 to 97.
The proposed changes for the Chalfont St Peter Ward will see the area being represented by two councillors rather than the current three. Plans to extend the ward into the Gerrards Cross Ward have been redacted.
The Gerrards Cross Ward will no longer include the villages of Fulmer and Hedgerley, but will instead be linked with Denham.
These changes have been made by the Boundary Commission to ensure areas are being represented by the right number of elected officials relative to their population. At a full council meeting on Wednesday, April 26, the recommendation to approve was made.
The new boundary changes are set to come into effect in May 2025.
