SEVERE DELAYS: New signalling causing problems on Metropolitan Line

Published on: 2nd September 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

There are severe delays on the entire Metropolitan Line this morning due to the installation of a new signalling system.

Trains between 5am and 8am have already been affected across the network between Aldgate and Uxbridge and look to continue for the rest of the morning.

Commuters in the Three Rivers, Hillingdon, Harrow and Buckinghamshire are advised to check the service before travelling.

On Twitter, they posted: “Met line trains are running with delays on the entire line. This is while we establish our new signalling system. You’re strongly advised to use alternative routes where possible.”

London Underground tickets are being accepted on Chiltern Railways, London Overground and local bus services.

Their Twitter account said: “With our new signalling going live tomorrow, you may experience longer journey times (over Monday and Thursday of this week). We plan on running as many services as possible, but ask that you allow extra time to complete journeys.”
