As Kings Langley Cricket Club’s (KLCC) new season looks to get underway, the club is looking for funding to help them along.
The club, which has three senior teams, a busy Junior section and successful ECB All Stars programme, was in the process of refurbishing our outdoor net facilities before the pandemic struck. Work had started but needed to be halted due to the financial implications of not being able to carry out our fundraising plans and the club being shutdown indefinitely.
The club has managed to purchase mobile nets for short-term purposes and training begins again in preparation for the new season, but they are still in need of financial help to cover the cost of both the mobile and permanent nets.
Committee member Richard Davis has been hosting regular virtual quizzes throughout lockdown to raise funds and has set up a fundraising page. Go to gf.me/u/x8t7f2 to help.
The club are also looking for sponsors for next year – please contact Tom Templeton at tom.templeton@yahoo.co.uk or on 07788 971464. You can also contact Tom if you’d like to join the club.
