Harrow Council have installed a new sign in Stanmore which gives passers-by’s directions has one fatal error.
The sign, located on The Broardway, outside Sainsbury’s, shows Canons Park and Harrow Weald pointing in the opposite directions.
Local resident Benj Gilbert, who spotted the error, said: “It is quite a silly and stupid mistake how someone could have been given the signs to put up and then they stand back and look and say hmmm this seems about right.
“I noticed them as I walked out of Sainsbury’s with some friends and said “I’m not going mad but Stanmore station is that way no?
“And even more if it was the council who placed the sigh they should know where things are.”
StanmoreNews reached out to the council for comment, but had received no response at the time of going to print.
