SERIOUS INJURY: Witnesses sought following collision in Watford

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision in Watford this morning (Saturday, November 20).

The incident occurred on Hempstead Road, near the junction with Langley Road, just before 8.15am.

A pedestrian and a white Vauxhall van were involved.

The pedestrian, a man aged in his 80s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

Sergeant Simon Cooper, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around the collision. As part of this, we are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or events prior to it, to please get in touch. 

“We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured any dash cam footage. If you can help, please get in touch.”
