A man in his 20s was taken to Watford General Hospital at around midnight on Saturday, May 22, after suffering serious injuries in the Watford town centre pond.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “Police were called at just before midnight on Saturday, May 22 to a report of an injured man in the pond on The Parade, High Street, Watford.
“Police officers and the East of England Ambulance Service attended.
“The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are believed to be serious, but not life-threatening. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
A spokesperson from the East of England Ambulance Service added: “We responded to an emergency call shortly after 11.30pm regarding an incident in Watford. We sent an ambulance to the scene and transported a patient to Watford General Hospital for further care.”
