Care home residents at Sunrise of Chorleywood unite to launch the #CelebrateCareHomes campaign, with TikTok videos.
The campaign aims to praise staff effort during COVID19 and highlight all that is great about living in care homes.
To kick-off the initiative, over 30 Sunrise UK care homes, including Sunrise of Chorleywood, have created their own TikTok videos, featuring residents and team members.
David Beck, 87-year-old resident at the local care home, and one of the spokespeople for the #CelebrateCareHomes campaign, said: “Care homes are a huge lifeline for many people.
“I love living in a care home, especially this care home because it is my home from home. The team members are just tremendous, and we wouldn’t be anywhere without them.
“Having worked at a community pharmacy for years and some time spent in a major hospital, I know just how important care homes are – this is why I believe this campaign is vital. We need to celebrate care homes for the great places they are and highlight all that is positive about them.”
