A 35-year-old man from St Albans was arrested on Sunday, September 21, after making threats to kill police officers on social media.
Craig Smith, of no fixed abode but from the Cell Barnes area of St Albans, is charged with sending communication that threatens death or serious harm. He was also charged with possession of cannabis. He has been remanded in custody and is due before St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday, October 21.
He was arrested in St Albans city centre on Sunday and an address in the Cell Barnes area was later searched.
A prop grenade and a BB gun were seized.
