Police are currently investigating a serious assault that is reported to have occurred in a wooded area near to Radlett Road Playing Fields, Watford, on Wednesday.
A cordon is currently in place and officers are continuing to investigate.
The victim (female) is being supported by officers.
Detective Constable Caroline Niwaz said: “I know that news of this incident will cause concern among the local community and I would like to reassure you that officers are working hard to identify those responsible for this assault. While this work is on-going you can expect to see an increased police presence in the local area.
