A driver was caught driving at 95mph near The Chalfonts on Monday, September 16.
Officers from Hertfordshire Police’s unmarked patrol team were patrolling the Buckinghamshire section of the M25 when they noticed a vehicle going at a fast speed.
It was recorded that the speeding motorist had clocked a speed of nearly 100mph by the gantry speed cameras under the ‘Give Peas a Chance’ Chalfont Viaduct.
The driver now faces fines and points added to their license.
In a statement on Facebook, Thames Valley Police shared: “This is unacceptable. The driver had also been drinking but was below the limit. However, when combined with the speed, it could have resulted in a collision with alcohol slowing reactions. The driver was reported and now faces points and fines for this selfish behaviour.”
They also used the road safety hashtag #ItsNotWorthTheRisk.
