Hertfordshire Police are appealing for information, witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Radlett on Monday, July 31.

At around 11.30am, a white Audi A3 was travelling along Theobald Street in the direction of Borehamwood when, for reasons unknown at this time, the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree.

The passenger, an 87-year-old woman from Radlett, sadly died at the scene. The driver of the car, a 90-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Hertfordshire Police can now confirm that the driver also passed away in hospital last night.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: “The driver of the vehicle sadly passed away last night. The passenger and driver who have died were married to each other. Our thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.”
