The Metropolitan Police have successfully closed a property in Northwood Hills after reports from residents of anti-social behaviour.
Officers discovered that the house, the exact location of which is unknown, was being used by a group of local shoplifters to carry out drug-related activities.
Working in tandem with Hillingdon Council, the Northwood Hills police team secured a closure order from the courts. This prohibits access to the premises for a maximum of three months.
On Tuesday, December 12, officers attended the address and removed the individuals from the site, assisted by council housing officers and bailiffs.
In the Met Police’s local OWL newsletter, the team stated: “This is a great example of partnership work between agencies and the closure on this property would not have been possible without the invaluable intelligence provided by the local community.
“The Northwood Hills team would like to thank our local community for their continued support. It is greatly appreciated by our team.”
