The green at Croxley Guild Bowls Club may have fallen silent for the season, but members are proudly celebrating a “successful year”.
Reflecting on the year, a spokesperson for the club told CROXLEYnews: “We’re grateful for a successful season and thank our captains Des and Sue, vice-captains Marion, Avril, and William for their dedication. The season ended perfectly with our final fun match on Sunday, September 21.”
While the green sleeps, life at the club doesn’t stop. Members swap bowls for short mat sessions indoors, as well as cribbage and bridge nights.
A spokesperson said: “Our winter social evenings are a great chance for members to stay connected and enjoy each other’s company.”
All eyes now turn to 2026, when members will be marking the club’s 100th anniversary.
