A parent has spoken out about the “dangerous” route she has to take to her children’s school in Hemel Hempstead every morning.
Ruszlana says that the roads surrounding St Rose’s Catholic Infant School “do not have a safe crossing”.
She said: “I see how dangerous the road to school is and how many children run across the road.”
Ruszlana added that other concerned parents were creating a petition to lobby for the creation of a safe crossing near the school.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council said: “We are hoping to appoint a school crossing patrol (lollipop person) shortly to help children cross the road on the way to St Rose’s School, and our Active and Safer Travel team are hoping to work with the school to develop their school travel plan.”
