An Abbots Langley resident is calling for a new zebra crossing to be installed in the village.
Eddie Garcia would like to see the crossing put in place near The Swan pub on College Road, as he says it is impossible to cross due to speeding vehicles.
Speaking to Abbots News, Eddie said: “There’s no way you can cross the road due to cars coming fast around the bend. There are nearby traffic lights, but they are too far away, and people get tempted to cross by the pub.”
Eddie says he spoke to Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) about installing the crossing, but to no avail.
He added: “I tried to speak to the council about this issue, and they told me to email them. I did, but they have never gotten back to me.”
HCC has been contacted for comment.
