The U12s Red team at Ruislip Rangers have had an outstanding 18 months, winning tournaments all while playing in a higher age group.

During the 2021/22 season, they were moved up to play in Division One of the age group above, finishing third in the league.

At the end of the season, the team was invited to play in the Junior Aces Nationals in Nottingham against other top grassroots teams in the country.

Playing against opposition from Leeds, Sunderland, Solihull, Bristol and Lancashire they qualified from the group and reached the quarter finals before, losing 2-0 and being beaten by last year’s winners.

This squad of strong players see boys joining the squad from outside of the area. Players have recently been offered trials and subsequently been signed by pro clubs to further their development.

Team manager David Emms said: “Our boys have had an outstanding couple of years and have grown as people in character and attitude as well as players. The boys show incredible consistency in their performances week on week which is a huge credit to them and their growing maturity.

“We look forward to the challenge of moving to 11 a-side matches next year and will be on the lookout for more high calibre players to join our team. The team are a pleasure to train and work with and I am excited to see what this season has in store for us.”
