Three men have been arrested after a man was allegedly forced into a vehicle in Watford.
Police have confirmed that the incident took place at an address near Rickmansworth School where officers attended to provide reassurance.
It was reported that a man had been forced into a vehicle in Beechwood Rise and driven off. No weapons were seen. On attending the scene officers were led to an address in Croxley Green where three males attempted to make off before being detained.
Police confirmed that the victim had also returned home safe and well.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: “Police were called at around midday on Wednesday, October 12, to report concerns for the welfare of a man in Watford.
“Officers attended and began making fast time enquiries, which led them to an address in Croxley Green.
“Three males subsequently attempted to make off from the address but were quickly detained.
“Meanwhile, the victim had returned home safe and well and is currently with officers.
“Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are in police custody.
“Enquiries are continuing at this time, but this is currently believed to be an isolated incident, with no threat to the wider public.”
