A rare Rolling Stones concert poster has been snapped up by a local collector at Bushey Auctions. The poster, from a 1965 tour, was sold for £13,000 following a bidding battle. It was consigned from a private home in the area and it’s believed the vendor’s late sister was a collector and may have attended the concert. A spokesperson from Bushey Auctions said: “On auction day, we registered several telephone bidders from the UK and overseas, as well as the internet and room bidders and after an exciting bidding war, the hammer went down to a very happy UK collector for £13,000, who bid in the room. “We have since been told that there are only nine other examples of this poster known and that the condition of this one is better than most. We are absolutely thrilled that the poster fetched such a good price, and delighted for both the vendor and buyer.”
