Abbots Langley Players are holding a cheese and wine social to encourage new members to join.
The social, taking place at the Players’ base behind the Henderson Hub at 7.30pm on Friday, February 23, will give residents the opportunity to mingle with current members of the amateur dramatics group and get a flavour of what to expect.
Current member Jane Adams explains that there is more to the Players than acting or directing.
She said: “There are many roles ranging from set design, props, front of house and more. It’s also about the chance to socialise with other people also interested in theatre.”
If you are interested in attending the social, please email stuartmartin29@btinternet.com
The Players will soon begin rehearsals for their production of Deck Chairs, three seaside plays which feature “surprising twists, animated characters, and observations on life that are sometimes humorous, sometimes touching and always compassionate”.
Deck Chairs will be performed at the Henderson Hub from April 11 to 13. To find out more, visit abbotslangleyplayers.wordpress.com
