Former Huel Tring Rugby player Zoe Harrison earned her 50th England Women’s cap in a 38-19 win over France Women at Kingsholm.
The 26-year-old fly half, who played for Huel Tring Rugby when she was five, was brought on in the 72nd minute of the game on Saturday, September 7, to see out the victory.
Now playing for Saracens, Harrison made her England debut in 2017 against Canada and she played in all five of the Six Nations games that year, kicking off her Red Roses career.
Harrison’s relationship with Huel Tring Rugby has remained strong despite her career’s astronomic rise. She has returned to Tring Rugby Club to assist with youngsters’ training sessions in recent years and became the club’s supporter through a Rugby Football Union grassroots programme in March.
The scheme, which aims to grow women’s rugby ahead of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in England, will be hoping to produce another player like Harrison in the coming years.
Harrison also has 11 England U20s caps.
