Detectives have renewed their appeal for information following a series of arson attacks at an address in Croxley Green, including two incidents last weekend. Since February 2014, there have been six incidents at the same address in Hazelwood Road where vehicles have been targeted. The incidents occurred on Sunday, February 16, 2014, Monday, November 10, 2014, Sunday, December 21, 2014, Sunday, February 8, 2015 and Friday, April 24, 2015. On Saturday, April 25, fluid was poured onto a vehicle causing damage to paintwork. The victim has offered a £500 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible. Detective Constable Adam Bridges, who is investigating, said: “These reckless incidents have caused a great deal of upset to the victim and his wife and have had a hugely detrimental effect on their lives over the past year or so. “I would like to catch the person, or people, responsible for these extremely dangerous acts as soon as possible and I am appealing for anyone with information to come forward. “I would also urge anyone who witnesses any suspicious behaviour in the Hazelwood Road area and believes a crime is in progress to contact 999 immediately.” Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Bridges via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101. Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
