A charity in Chorleywood is looking for more volunteers to join and help assist young people with a learning disability.
Mission EmployAble is asking residents who have extra time on their hands to come and help if they can.
Training manager Cassandra said: “If you are interested in assisting young people with a disability, have some extra time on your hands and are willing to work alongside interns in the workplace, we would love to hear from you.
“You must be fully vaccinated and be willing to wear a mask and undergo an enhance DBS check. We welcome all enquiries!”
Mission EmployAble’s vision for supported internships is coming to fruition.
The charity’s young interns have had their induction and orientation in Barchester’s Beaumont House assisted living, in Chorleywood.
Chair for Mission EmployAble, Katharine Weston, said: “They are enjoying being part of a range of work environments, such as kitchen and dining, gardening, office work, laundry duties and delivering activities, making them feel part of the greater Beaumont House staff family.”
Mission EmployAble is putting together volunteers with interns, where they will form an integral part supporting work tasks and assisting the trainers in collecting evidence and providing feedback.
Volunteers would be very welcome from the local area and can get in touch via email@example.com
