Rail Closure Plans Confirmed

Published on: 20th October 2017   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

Watford MP Richard Harrington spoke to London Midland once again and it has been confirmed that the £81 million scheme, which will deliver an upgrade of the lines and infrastructure and should tackle the most common causes of delay, will still go ahead. However instead of prolonged closures which would have significantly affected Watford commuters, this will now take place over a series of weekends and the dates are below. Any closure is of course inconvenient, but the revised plan to deliver this upgrade will mean less days affected by closure, no weekday closure affecting commuters, and will also mean that slow trains at least will continue to run between Watford and London during these times. Details are currently still being finalised and the MP will continue to work with everyone involved to ensure that these impact as little as possible on Watford residents and commuters. He will also continue to report back and circulate information so people know what to expect and when. 2014
