An “outstanding” Radlett school boy is well on his way to career in politics after being elected into the UK Youth Parliament. Charlie Coverman, who attends Immanuel College in Bushey, is now Youth MP for Hertfordshire after standing in a hard fought campaign supported by his fellow pupils. The school say he feels “very excited” to represent all the youth in the county and, in particular he will be addressing issues on his fellow pupils’ behalf and promoting their interests. Mr Spitz, Head of English at the school, believes the youngster will make a big impact on the Youth Parliament. He said: “He is an outstanding individual who has a genuine passion for politics. “He is an eloquent and erudite speaker whose presence in the House of Commons will make a big impact.” Charlie commences his duties this week.
