Radlett Lodge School (RLS) has launched a new group composed of parents, staff and those with links to the wider community in order to support the school and its pupils.
RLS is an independent school that offers tailored education to autistic pupils from across North London and the home counties.
The Friends of RLS met for the first time on Thursday, December 7, at the school on Harper Lane.
Principal Stuart Mainwaring said at the launch event: “When we began this project, we wanted to acknowledge all the amazing events and opportunities Radlett Lodge School has been involved with over the years.
“The more we used this term ‘Friends of’, the more we realised how perfectly it fits with what we are trying to establish here: friendship around a group of shared values.
“If you ask me what Friends of RLS will look like two years from now, I don’t think I’d be able tell you, but that is also the beauty of it. Today is the start of a journey without boundaries, but together we can continue to ensure all our pupils are given the encouragement and opportunities to shine.”
