One of the town’s dedicated gardeners, who is celebrating 25 years of work, has been recognised by Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor.
Nick the gardener has lovingly cared for Cheslyn House and Gardens for 25 years, tending to the gardens, woodlands, pond, and an aviary with budgerigars, quail and finches.
Mayor Taylor said: “Nick’s dedication and passion for Cheslyn House and Gardens have been instrumental in maintaining its status as a Green Flag Award-winning open space. His commitment has ensured that this hidden gem continues to flourish and delight all who visit.”
Councillor Tim Williams, Watford Borough Council’s portfolio holder for neighbourhood services, said: “Over the last 25 years, Nick has consistently maintained Cheslyn House and Gardens to a high standard, helping it become a well-respected Green Flag Award-winning site. His dedication has played a key role in preserving this valuable community asset.”
