PRISON SENTENCES: Justice served fast after break-in culprits at Radlett Tesco jailed

Published on: 14th September 2021   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Two men have been handed prison sentences after breaking into a Radlett shop recently.

During the early hours of the September 3, Tesco in Watling Street was broken into for a second time in recent weeks.

PC Kris Endersbee, of the Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team, said three men gained entry by smashing one of the large front glass windows, and took items from inside.

This led to the store being temporarily closed that morning.

PC Endersbee added: “A member of the public who witnessed the incident called police, leading to officers attending the scene soon after three people were seen running away towards Radlett Train Station.

“Following a search, the police dog tracked down two of the three suspects, who were arrested, charged and remanded for court, whereby they received prison sentences.

“Crime and calls in general have been very low in recent months for your area and we thank the community for their part in helping the police to respond swiftly to achieve such results and keeping people and their property safe.”
