A Pinner artist’s work has been showcased in one of the most famous locations in the world.
Pinner resident Alex Cazzato’s art career has blossomed over the years, from exhibiting his work at the Heath Robinson Museum in Pinner, to his work dedicated to Sir Elton John being featured in the La Story d’Elton John documentary back in 2022.
Now, the artist’s painting, Cabin Fever, has been displayed in Times Square in New York.
Speaking to Pinnernews, he said: “The narrative is of someone on their quest to find a conclusion or answer after a house has burned and fallen apart.
“I suppose it takes inspiration from my own discography in an attempt to reconstruct ideas and put them into a different context to achieve a new style.”
The artist previously exhibited at the Holy Art Gallery in London and Berlin, where he was given the opportunity to show his work in Times Square.
Alex continued: “It is pretty surreal. I had just finished for the day at work when myself and my colleagues watched it live on EarthCam. Moments after it showed, I received lots of nice messages from friends and family. It is a shame I couldn’t be in NYC at the time, but watching it live from the UK was still very exciting.
“It was definitely a proud moment for me when I think about my progression over the years. I hope it inspires other local artists that these opportunities are there but you have to make them happen.”
