A talented photographer from Hemel Hempstead has picked up three prestigious awards for her work.
Sally Masson, who has been a member of the Guild of Photographers for eight years, achieved a Gold, Silver and Bronze award for three photos she submitted in the Image of the Month competition in the October Wedding Category.
It was the first time Sally had submitted her work into a competition for “quite some time”. Prior to this, in 2015, she was awarded top 10 Photographer of the year in the Family Photography genre.
Sally told HemelNews she was “absolutely thrilled with the achievement, adding: “The Gold and Silver were from a recent Ashridge House Wedding, which was the third wedding I had shot in a row over the August Bank Holiday weekend, one of the hottest Bank Holiday weekends in years.
“This year, the Guild had just over 13,500 entries and only six of those achieved a Gold award in the Weddings category. I am the only photographer in Herts to have achieved a Gold in the Wedding Category this year.
“My Gold award has been chosen as one of the judges top four favourites out of all those 1,500 images entered for the month of October, therefore The Guild’s Trade Partner One Vision will print and frame the image free of charge for me.
“I take great pride in my weddings; as well as the candid off the wall photography throughout the day, I also aim to produce wall worthy shots for the bride and groom to cherish.”
