Published on: 9th January 2026   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car at 3:30pm on Monday, 1 December on Baldwins Lane, Croxley Green.

He was on the way home from school at the crossing near Car Planet when a red Toyota ran a red light, hit the schoolboy and drove off.

The boy was taken to hospital following the hit-and-run and only suffered minor bruising.

Hertfordshire Police and The East of England Ambulance Service did not attend as the hit-and-run had only reported after the boy was taken to hospital.

Ashi Shah, auntie of the boy took to Facebook and said: “It’s disgusting that the driver was in such a hurry, you could’ve killed a child today coward.”

Comments on the post shared their disgust of the driver and one suggested they contact nearby businesses to see if they have CCTV footage of the incident.

Ms. Shah asked for anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information, to either contact her or Hertfordshire Police who have opened an investigation.

Information can be reported online, or by calling 101, quoting the reference ISR 673 of 1 December.
