Thames Valley Police have arrested a woman on suspicion of drink driving, after a car crashed through the building of a nursery on Christmas Day.
Thames Valley Police said a 59-year-old from Amersham was arrested after the crash at Acre Wood Nursery School on Woodside Road, shortly before 8pm on Monday, December 25, where a black Mercedes SLK 350 drove through the flint-stone wall and into the classroom.
Another woman, aged 53 and from Bedford, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit and failure to provide a specimen at the roadside.
Police said she had been de-arrested.
Acre Wood Nursery School headed to Facebook and said: “We are aware that a car has collided with the nursery building.
“We will keep you updated in the coming days. As per our business continuity plan, we will be making arrangements to try to avoid disruption.
“Please bear with us whilst we navigate this difficult situation.”
