Published on: 8th October 2021   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Officers investigating an incident of indecent exposure in Sawbridgeworth are appealing for witnesses and information.

On Tuesday, October 5, at around 5.40pm, the victim was walking through Pishiobury Park in Harlow Road when she was approached from behind by an unknown male.

It was reported that he shouted at her to get out of his way and pushed her, before exposing himself. He then ran off in the direction of the river.

Detective Constable Rebecca Watson, who is investigating, said: “This was understandably a frightening incident for the victim, who has been left shaken up. The offender was described as a white male, around 6ft tall and of thin build. He was said to be wearing a black tracksuit and white trainers.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time specified who may have seen someone matching the description to please contact police. I’d also like to hear from anyone else who may have information which could assist our ongoing enquiries.”

Anyone with information can contact DC Watson directly via email at rebecca.watson@herts.police.uk.

Report information online, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/77571/19.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
