Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in St Albans.

The incident occurred on Hatfield Road at the junction with Sutton Road just before 12.20pm on Friday, December 1, where it is reported that a white Renault and a pedestrian were in collision.

The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, who was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, sadly passed away in hospital on Sunday, December 31, 2023.

Detective Constable Felicity Moody from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family at this very difficult time.

“We are investigating the circumstances of the collision and as part of that I am renewing our appeal for information.

“We’d urge anyone who was in the area at the time to check their dash cam footage or to contact us if you saw it happen or the events leading to it. It does not matter how significant or insignificant the information might be.”
