Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision on the M1 Southbound.
The collision occurred at around 4.40pm on Friday, May 2, near to Junction 5 and involved five vehicles – a white Ford Fiesta, a skip loader, a blue Mini Cooper, a black Ford Focus and a black Volvo XC90.
Two people suffered serious injuries, three suffered minor injuries.
The woman driving the Fiesta has been arrested on suspicion of serious injury by dangerous driving.
Sergeant David McIlwhan from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “The road was busy at the time and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened to please make contact.
