A Hatch End resident has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award for her dedication to helping others in the community.
On May 1, Bobbi Riesel, who has volunteered for Bereavement Care for more than 30 years, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award as part of the St Martin’s Challenge Awards.
At the ceremony held at the Royal Academy of Music, Bobbi was presented her award by Philip Selway from Radiohead.
Speaking to PinnerNews, Bobbi said the award was very unexpected and is very grateful for the recognition.
She said: “I do feel very honoured, you don’t do this sort of work for thanks or awards, you do it because you want to and enjoy it.
“I’ve helped a lot of people in my time and I love it when they come back to me, I go on a journey with these people.”
Congratulations Bobbi, so well deserved
