POLICE APPEAL: Officers ask for witnesses after altercation outside Nando’s in St Albans

Police are appealing for witnesses and information as part of ongoing investigations into an assault in St Albans.

The incident occurred in Chequer Street, at around 4pm on Wednesday, September 7.

The male driver of a delivery van was involved in an altercation with the female driver of a silver Honda, in the layby outside Nando’s.

It was reported that the man was assaulted during the incident but was not injured.

PC Ryan Coyle, who is investigating, said: “Enquiries into the incident are continuing at this time and a review of CCTV has been conducted. As part of the investigation, I am appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or events leading up to it, to please get in touch. We’re keen to get accounts from witnesses around what happened.

“I’d particularly like to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage.

“If you believe you have any information which may assist, please contact me.”
