The incident happened in St Albans Road on Thursday, June 16. At around 11.20am, a 16-year-old girl was approached by a man on the pavement outside the Prince George pub and touched inappropriately.

The man then made off, walking onto Station Road, Clarendon Road and then into the Atria Shopping Centre.

Detective Constable Stephen Mooney, who is investigating, said: “The victim was left shaken by this ordeal and we are doing everything we can to find the offender. This type of behaviour will not be stood for in Hertfordshire.
