Families across the country have missed out on one of the most cherished photos that they can get, with someone in their university gown, graduating after all their hard work.
Due to COVID-19, the celebrations have been postponed indefinitely, but three people, including two from Bushey, have made it so there’s no reason to miss out on the special photo.
Asher Goldberg, from Bushey, said: “When I was told that my graduation was postponed, together with a few friends, we decided to launch Grad Pic.
“What started off as an idea to get graduation photos for ourselves, has developed into a mobile photography service that provides everything needed for a perfect graduation day photo.”
Grad Pic, which operates a fully compliant COVID-19 home visit, provides the gown, mortarboard and scroll, as well each graduates specific University and qualification hood – all fully included.
According to Louie Greenham, also from Bushey, Grad Pic isn’t just about delivering a convenient and professional service for graduates, it’s also about price.
He said: “We were astonished at some of the prices people were paying for their graduation photos. Despite the rushed and impersonal service at graduation ceremonies, students and their parents were still being charged between £400 and £1,000 for some very ordinary pictures.”
