Cecil 1 Source Met PolicePolice are releasing images of a one month old pony that was stolen in Aldenham in an attempt to locate him and identify those who have taken him. Cecil, a Shetland pony, was stolen from a stable at a property in Summerhouse Lane sometime between 7pm on August 14 and 7am today. PC John Phelan is investigating the burglary and said: “Cecil is very small and would be very distressed to be away from his mother and the safe environment the stable offers. “Likewise, Cecil’s owner is absolutely distraught with worry. Cecil is a very distinctive pony and I would urge anyone who believes they know of his location to contact me immediately. “Anyone who remembers seeing anything unusual or suspicious between yesterday evening and this morning in the area of Summerhouse Lane should also contact me as they may have information that can assist our investigation.” Anyone with any information in relation to this incident should contact PC Phelan via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference J2/14/965. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
