A school in Langleybury has received a Platinum Award from Outdoor Play and Learning.
On Monday, April 21, St Paul’s C of E Primary School was presented with the award by Gagan Mohindra, MP for South West Hertfordshire, for their “outstanding” playground provision.
He also opened the new sandpit which has been built by parents and volunteers.
To be given the highest award of Platinum, the school completed a programme over the past year-and-a-half and were given a score of 99 per cent. The programme encourages schools to improve the quality of children’s playtime.
A spokesperson for the school shared with Kings News: “The whole of the St Paul’s community has helped to make playtime inspirational for our children and we are grateful to everyone who has supported us on our journey.
“Playtime at St Paul’s has been transformed. Children build dens, play in the sandpit, set up obstacle courses, play parachute games, make shelters, and so much more.”
