A total of 300 new homes could be built on green belt land in Chorleywood, following a developer’s pre-emptive plan.
Clovercourt Ltd has submitted an environment impact assessment screening request application to Three Rivers District Council (TRDC). The application concerns land currently occupied by Catlips Farm, located between Berry Lane and Shepherds Lane.
This has been described as being in relation to a potential new residential development on the site, which would see 300 dwellings built in the area, with access from Shepherds Lane.
Of those dwellings, 69 would be two-bed units, 159 would be three-bed, 47 would be four-bed, and 25 would be five-bed. The cover letter for the proposal, which was submitted at the end of November, indicates no plans for other amenities as part of the project.
Approval to go ahead with the screening was given by TRDC on Monday, December 18, stating: “This recommendation does not in any way prejudice the outcome of any future planning application, which will be subject to full consultation, and assessment of the planning issues.”
