A Pinner primary school celebrated its platinum jubilee with a reunion of former alumni, including some rather famous guests and former students.
On Wednesday, June 19, former students and staff who attended or worked at West Lodge Primary School between 1954 and 2004 ventured back to their old stomping ground for a celebration.
Also attending was none other than iconic children’s author and former West Lodge pupil, Michael Rosen. He hosted several shows for KS1 and KS2 and met up with his old classmates from 1954-57.
Following the event, hundreds of residents and former students headed to social media to share their nostalgia.
One said: “Great evening tonight. Well done all who worked hard on putting it all together. Well done to kids too – the band, choir and performers.”
Another said: “I was there 1964-65 and loved it. I’m living in Northern Ireland but will be there in spirit. Happy birthday!”
