Customers are flocking to a pizzeria in Bushey to taste the pizza described by some as the best in the world.
Vincenzo’s first opened on the High Street in September last year. Owner Tom Vincent said the restaurant remains popular, but recently more people have been coming from far and wide after it was given a boost on social media.
This comes after the local pizzeria received outstanding online reviews, including from food bloggers Bite Twice Pizza Reviews, who described the pizza as “probably the best pizza in the world”.
Speaking to BUSHEYnews, Tom said he has always loved making pizza and travelled around Naples and New York to perfect his skills.
He said: “I have always made pizza my whole life. When I do something, I become obsessed with it and that’s how it should be.
“I think that is what people love about it.”
Tom added that the community in Bushey has been so supportive, with many stopping by when he was renovating the shop.
He said: “When I first bought the shop, I found out how supportive the community was. I did up the shop myself and I was talking to everyone who walked by.
“The word just spread and I thought I’m not going to be able to cope with how busy it’s going to be.
“We sell out on Friday and Saturday every week, so I want to get the message out that people should try on Thursdays and Sundays. I do believe pizza of this quality is to be limited.”
