A restaurant in Ruislip has been fined £1,000 for breaking COVID rules.

Hillingdon Borough Council handed out £5,000 worth of fines to three bars and restaurants across the borough, with the other two being bars in Hayes.

All three were operating outside the 10pm curfew, with the restaurant in Ruislip found to have more than 50 people inside.

Other breaches included not displaying NHS QR posters and allowing large gatherings with no social distancing.

Sir Ray Puddifoot, leader of Hillingdon Council, said: “We cannot allow lives to be put at risk by careless businesses who think they can flout the law.

“The unacceptable and reckless behaviour of these businesses could have potentially put hundreds of people at risk of being infected.”
