Durrants Hill Car Park in Apsley has been given a Park Mark accreditation following a recent inspection.
The Safer Parking Scheme sets a UK standard for all car parks, with the aim of reducing crime and improving safety for people and vehicles.
Durrants Hill has retained its accreditation for another two years, after specially trained police assessors conducted a thorough evaluation of the car park.
Five other sites across Dacorum have also retained their Park Mark, meaning all 26 of the council’s managed car parks have successfully achieved this recognition for high safety standards.
Councillor William Allen, Dacorum Borough Council’s corporate and commercial portfolio holder, said: “I am delighted that this reassessment of six of our car parks means all 26 of our managed car parks now have or have retained the Park Mark accreditation!
“This reassessment is a major achievement for our Parking Services team who maintain these car parks to a very high standard.”
